Winter has officially happened upon us in the midwest–and warm clothing is essential if you want to keep riding through the months ahead. Layers, layers, layers: The key to effective winter clothing is, you guessed it, layers! Air will be trapped between each layer, helping to keep you warm; and, you can add and remove layers to regulate your body temperature. Gloves and overshoes are winter essentials. Cold fingers are bad enough, cold and wet toes are no better. Finish it off with a hat or liner under your helmet, and you are good to go!
