If you visualized the perfect bike ride, you probably wouldn’t describe sitting on a stationary trainer, trapped indoors on a winter day. The perfect ride would take place outdoors, under the warm spring sun and out in the fresh air. Here are a few tips to help you stay motivated. Plan ahead so the bike and trainer are set up before it’s time to ride, so you’ll have one less excuse to back out when it’s time to saddle up. Keep a few of your favorite snacks near your workout area and enjoy them as reward for riding the trainer. Keep it fun and short. You’ll get bored out of your mind if you try riding a trainer indoors for more than an hour.
